In nomine Patris, et Filii,
et Spiritus Sancti.

Kill Avenue, Kill o'the Grange
The building of The Holy Family Parish church was completed
in early 1973 and the church was opened on 25th February of the same year.
Whilst the building itself is somewhat imposing, I take it as it is,
as in it is a modernist or possibly a post modernist structure. But as with all churches
one of the most important features is the internal aspect of a church.
Where an individual or small group can pray quietly and peacefully or a larger congregation can participate in mass.
Also an advantage of this church is its small chapel to the
right hand side of the building just off the car park, toward the back of the main church,
which is named the Blessed Sacrament chapel. Other advantages to this church are
its car park for parishioners and that it is on one of the main bus routes between
Dun Laoghaire and the N11 at Foxrock. The present day parish of Kill o'the Grange was created from the parishes of Monkstown and Dun Laoghaire in 1972. The local school
is the Holy Family National school (Dunedin Terrace) Holy Family Parish, Kill O' the Grange.
The Holy Family itself consists of Jesus the son of God, Mary His mother and Joseph
His earthly father and guardian. Their feast day is celebrated on the first Sunday after Christmas.
The Church of the Holy Family is dedicated to Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
