In nomine Patris, et Filii,
et Spiritus Sancti.
Amen
Churchview Road, Johnstow Killiney.
Building started in the early 1970s and the building was completed
and opened by 1974. The roof of the church was refurbished in 2005
and then in 2007 a new parish (pastoral) centre was completed and opened beside the church.
The parish centre is a vibrant hub of parish pastoral activities.
The coffee dock is open in the parish centre after
10am mass Monday to Friday. (Check for any updates).
The schools nearby, both a boys and girls national school both started
life as prefabricated buildings, but due to growing demand in the area
both have mainly, during the 1960s and 1970s been rebuilt as permanent structures.
With some on-going work and additions into the 2000s.
The church building itself is of a modern design with what is a red-brick facing,
not to every ones liking but still serves the purpose it was built for
and internally is more than worth a visit if not only for its internal features
but simply for the amazing light affects which you can encounter on some sunny afternoons.
Including an opportunity for pray and quiet contemplation.
